The ones we set
Two kinds, and no more than that:
- Analytics — set by Google Analytics, which counts visits and pages without identifying you
- Functional — the plumbing that makes the pages work correctly in your browser
The ones other people set
Click through to GetYourGuide or another platform and it sets its own cookies the moment you land, under its own policy. The same is true of an embedded YouTube video or a map: opening one hands that provider a visit.
Turning them off
Every browser can block or clear cookies from its settings, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on that removes you from our analytics for good. Blocking cookies will not break anything you came here to read.
